Annie - An experience I will never forget

There's too much to say so I'm just going to sum it all up here with some pictures :D. Annie was really one of the most amazing things I have ever got to be involved in. I just really want to thank everyone: the cast, the pit, the high schoolers helping, backstage crew and EVERYONE for this unforgettable musical. I have never seen anything like it since it was quite professional and so much fun. All the practice we put into it has paid off with great three shows that were successful and enjoyable both to the audience and the cast.
I don't really know how to put it to words how happy and grateful I am, but at the same time it is sad since it is all ending now and the 8th graders are going to high school. There is so much happening right now and to be honest today was very emotional for some of the cast and crew.
The cast was amazing; there were 79 super talented 6th, 7th and 8th performing and the big cast made us all a big family and the whole thing got more exciting.
Awesome t-shirt
We had many high school students helping out backstage and this musical would have been nothing without them! They were the ones that looked out for moving the props and the set around when needed while some of them took care of the choreography of the show. Also adding to this there was the HUGE amount of middle school students helping with microphones, the set and everything possible.
Also we had the pit band that did an
Ms. Greer
awesome job also having to just go
with the flow in some cases when
 unexpected things happened.
We're amazing
This is probably just going to be photos
now :3
But again this was just amazing and I hope
to do it next year again! :D
Thank you :)

Long time, No see :)

I haven't been writing for a couple of... Months, but nothing significantly important has really happened. First of all we have the middle school musical Annie that I am taking part in. It is one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. We have a cast of about 80 people, plus all the backstage crew AND a dog!! :D
The choreographer named
Rosie and I :)
It is so great to be a part of this; it really is an extraordinarily awesome production. For the first few weeks we had a professional choreographer come from London to help us and this truly was a once in a lifetime experience! All in all it is so cool to work with these really talented people and I never knew there would be so much talent in a middle school to be honest, but I was surprised on how many people are absolutely phenomenal actors/actresses of then can sing amazingly. I made so many new friends during the practices and on stage and it is literally one of the coolest things I have ever done! It was great and we had a huge amount of fun. Now after over a month of sweat and practice we have only three days until our first performance! It is exciting for all of us and most of us don't want it to end, since also the whole school year is coming to a close. It is kind of sad since seventh grade has been a blast even with all the huge projects and drama happening simultaneously. But what would life be without a little challenge? ;)

There is all kinds of art here that
is really cool :D
I have also discovered many new things and places here in Taiwan and it is becoming more and more familiar to me(not the language though :3).
We were hiking and I just
thought why not add this
photo here :3
So much has happened while I have been to lazy to write and I can't even remember everything since time really flies. So lets go from where I ended it: Christmas was fun we had some great food :D. New year was great we went to see the fireworks at Taipei 101 and it was spectacular! Nothing really happened after that... Only normal middle school life. :)
The fireworks were really
extraordinary!
Of course there was one event that I had been waiting for for an exceptionally long time: IRON MAN 3 came out and it is basically the best movie ever! Maybe not.. I don't know but it is sensational and oh my goodness I am going to watch it on the plane to Finland as many times as possible when vacation comes!
During summer we will visit back to Finland and pass by Korea just to go see some pretty cool stuff there so hopefully that will be fun. I also look forward to seeing my buddies back at home! I will be writing soon since a lot will happen during these three last weeks of school and after so....Byee :3

Candlelight :D

Hiii!! :)

So, last Friday we had this awesome event/party/dinner/dance called Candlelight that I have been mentioning a lot lately. So it finally came and everyone were super excited. So when we got there, it was hard to believe my eyes; the cafeteria where the party was held was totally transformed! It was made to actually look nice.
So we had turkey and mashed potatoes and then we danced and partied. They even had an awesome photo booth where you could go with your friends. Everything was decorated so beautiful and there were many nice Christmas trees all around.
Everything that made the night extra special were my friends. We had fun and I enjoyed it.
I don't have the pictures from the dance yet but here are a few of me and my dress :D

Oh and Christmas is almost here :D
Yay!!!!!

Life Goes On

Helloooo :)

Me with the quite large trophy :)
I know that I have not written for a while, but nothing significant has really happened since my last post. School is great and sometimes hard, but not impossible.
So last weekend i had my first synchronized swimming competitions here in Taiwan and I had an AWSOME time! It was the Taiwan's Synchronized Swimming President Cup 2012, the second competition this year. There were many solos that performed and only one combo, but they actually did very well. The average level here is lower than Finland and we are lacking coaches, but some of the swimmers really stand out with their skills. I ended up winning a trophy... Yes, I think that it was a little exaggerated, but I am happy.
I should improve my figures and flexibility though, to stay good and be better. Also I will be getting an all new solo music and choreography from Russia, and I am very excited about that. Just by the way, if you are interested and speak Finnish, here is a link to the Suomen Uimaliitto website: http://www.uimaliitto.fi/liitto/uutiset/tara-turkki-ui-kultaa-taitouinticupissa-taipeissa/

Love you guys! :)

At school, we have a cool event coming up. It is a dinner/dance where everyone dress nicely and have lots of fun. Especially the girls get excited with all the hair, dresses and makeup. It is next month and I can't wait to see everyone dressed nicely and to have fun dancing with my friends.
Also Christmas is coming! The weird thing is, that it is so warm here, that it doesn't feel like it at all! In Finland it has already been snowing, but not here! Never! So I at least, have not gotten that Christmas feeling yet. :P

Synchonized Swimming!!!

Heyyyy!!!!
I just wanted to add that we actually found a place where I can continue my hobby: synchronized swimming! There is a Russian coach that has promised to coach me and that I can swim a solo. My first competitions are in November!
All in all, I think that I am quite settled here in Taipei now. The school is a little more challenging than in Finland, but I think that it is actually just good because then at least I am not behind if I return to Finland in two years. The food in the school is delicious! There is so much varitey and I think that it is even healthier than in my old school.
So life is good, even I miss my old friends and family in Finland. I will never forget them, but I already have very good friends here that I will always remember.
I think thats all! :D

Pics of Friends!!!

Hiiii,

I haven't been writing for a while, but I just thought that I could add some photos from the dance that we had quite a while ago. I found them just a while ago so hope you enjoy them!

School, Dance, Zoo

Hiiii,

This week has been quite filled with homework and school, but on Friday, we had a dance party. It was held at the school and I had the BEST time ever!!! It was so much fun, dancing around with friends, drinking soda and eating pizza! The dancing was the best part though, because the music was awesome and all my new friends were there. I would say that it was the best night of my life so far! :)

The zoo was very nice since it was full
of jungle and all kinds of cool plants and flowers.

Today, me and my family visited Taipei Zoo and it was fun even though it was really hot! There were so many animals there, and some of them, I had never seen before. It was quite interesting to see all these animals from around the world. One of my favorites was the big Bengali tiger they had there. It was walking just in front of us, behind the glass and sometimes it would lean against the glass and it was quite an amazing experience!

The awesome tiger :)
Camel :P

Hippos :D

Now I actually have Monday and Tuesday off from school and I'm happy because then I have enough time to do my homework and also chill out a little and have fun. I also want to go to school though, because I see all my friends then and my fiends are the ones that make life enjoyable :)
Hope you like the pics! (Layout sucks, I don't know how to do this that well sorry...)
